Shopping,coupons and such...

Do you have someone that is fun, but hard to buy presents for? Do you need a unique gift to send to someone? Then you need to check this out! Send a Ball is an awesome idea! You can personalize the ball for a birthday, anniversary or whatever you like! The balls come in the US Mail with postage right on the ball. How fun would it be to receive one of these in the mail??? I know that this is on my list to send to the kids soon- they will LOVE it!! Daniel has been asking just about everyday if there is mail for him, so he will get a real kick out of this! (I am a tad curious how the postal workers will feel about these though lol).

If you are in need of a T-shirt, but haven't found quite what you are looking for, check out Cafe Press. They have tons of fun shirts already designed, or you can design your own. The quality of the shirts and printing is really good! I recently got Tony a shirt that says "I'm not trying to be difficult...it comes naturally". And if you know Tony, you know that's a very fitting shirt ;-) They have a lot of styles for St. Patrick's Day right now- but just do a search and you are bound to find what you are looking for!

Cheryl & Co is still one of my favorite places for sending cookies! I just realized that I'm out of my freezer stash of cookies and had to place an order. If you use coupon code XK you will get 15% off your order. They also have quite a few selections with free shipping. They have cute Shamrock cookies for St. Patty's Day!

The Popcorn Factory also has a lot of neat treats for St. Patty's Day or any ocassion. I ordered something for our Family Game Night and can't wait to get it!

I also found that on QVC.com, they sell both Cheryl & Co cookies and Mrs. Prindables apples and caramels at a little bit of a discount. I know that the apples do not come in the usual Mrs. Prindables gift boxes, but if you are doing this for a school party or something like that, it wouldn't matter as much. If you want to try these out for a little bit cheaper, this would be a good option! Right now, they have a Mrs. Prindables 16 piece sampler for under $30! They also have 14 individual (smaller) apples for just under $30. The shipping through QVC also seems to be a little cheaper which makes it a little easier to handle! The apples are out of this world!!!

Well, that's what I've mostly ordered lately. I'm needing to print some pictures, so I'll pass along any coupons I find for those soon! Have a great day!

I just saw that DeepDiscount.com is having an awesome sale through Memorial Day! They have a large selection of Kid and Family movies that are buy one get one free! For kids, they have titles like Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train, Barney, Berenstain Bears, Clifford and many more- with most being under $10! They also have movies such as Karate Kid, Little Women, and others! This would be a great time to pick up some movis for stocking stuffers or birthday gifts- I know that is my plan!

Happy Birthday Tony!!!

Well, today is my wonderful hubby's birthday...so Happy Birthday to you!!! Daniel was very excited about preparing everything for his Daddy! He of course helped make the cake and cookies and picked out balloons. He was thrilled that we got him the "Batman Lego Blocks" game. We wrapped it this morning and he carried it around with him, hiding it whenever Tony walked into the room. He also got a Texas A&M shirt that I'm not sure he'll wear unless they start winning a little more! I think we can count his Playstation 3 as a birthday present as well. We had a nice lunch and dinner out as well. We sent him some chocolate covered apples from Mrs. Prindables and it is to die for! Arianna was intrigued with the balloons and candles- she didn't know what to think of them, but didn't care as long as we were all there! All in all, I think he had a nice low key birthday- just like he likes.

Happy Birthday to you....Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday Tony...Happy Birthday to you! I hope to celebrate many more birthdays with you!

As Tony keeps pointing out...the best part of his day is that he is currently married to a "younger woman"...well at least for another 2 months and 2 weeks.

Have you watched a dinosaur hatch?

In the midst of our preschool learning, we like to do fun crafts or other hands on learning. This week, we watched a dinosaur hatch from an egg. This turned out to be a fun little project for Daniel. The eggs are called "Hatch 'em" and I bought them here (search for dinosaur egg). You submerge them in water and in a few hours, the egg starts cracking as the dino is "hatching". It takes at least 48 hours for the entire process to be complete. It's basically some type of foam that slowly absorbs water which causes it to grow and crack the shell. He was very excited about his new "friend", although it seemed to take "FOREVER" (at least in the mind of a 4 year old). Initially I think he may have thought it was going to be a LIVE dinosaur and I was a little worried about disappointing him. After about a day, he figured it out himself and seemed ok with that fact. So, here are some pictures of Daniel's new toy dino "DJ" being hatched!

Are you ready for Football???

Football season is definitely upon us!! Unfortunately, for the moment, I don't think A&M got the memo on that yet...there is still hope though!! And hoping the Cowboys do some good as well!

What gets you into the football spirit better than a shirt displaying your favorite team? I recently found a site Football Fanatics that has some great prices on sports apparel and other items. I know some sites kill you with the shipping charges, but they offer 3 day shipping for only $4.99 on any size order- that's an awesome deal!! If you are looking for something for your college team, NFL or other sport, be sure to check out this site!! This would be great for birthdays or Christmas gifts or just something for yourself! I can't say what I purchased just yet, but will post when I can!!

(SZ...I KNOW you need some more LSU stuff..yes??ha)

Gig 'em Aggies!!!

Looking for a gift??

Are you looking for a gift for that someone who has everything? Or just looking for something a little different to send? Need a little something to send to the college student in your life (hint hint SZ)? Here are some merchants that I have tried out in the last few months and highly recommend! (Just click on the merchant name and it will take you straight to their site).

Mrs. Prindables (Can't decide? You can't go wrong with a 4 pack sampler)
Cheryl & co (The iced cookies melt in your mouth)
Nuts on the Net (We recommend the Cashews and Mixed Nuts)
Dale & Thomas Popcorn (The Butter Toffee & Walnut Crunch are currently at the top of our list)

Hopefully this will help you find a gift for that special someone...or just find an awesome treat for yourself!! Enjoy!!

Chef Daniel

Daniel is becoming quite the little Chef! He loves to help in the kitchen whenever he gets the chance. I recently bought him a personalized chef hat that he loves from Personalization Mall.
He says that now he can be "a little Chef like Remy" from the Disney movie Ratatouille! As long as he isn't hiding a rat under that hat, it's all good!
