Catching up...

Life has been a little busy lately and I need to catch up posting some pictures today!

First up is 4th of July! We had a little issue that kept us from going to the Concerts in the Park on Thursday, but we didn't totally miss out on fireworks this year! Our old neighborhood, which is about 2 miles away, has an annual fireworks show. That is one of (if not the only) things that Tony misses about the old house- we coud sit in the backyard and have a great view of the fireworks! We stopped at the "forest" (walking trail on a hill) and had a great view of the fireworks! It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed it!

We have still been managing to get our runs in on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We're trying to go out early to beat the heat- although we aren't always successful on the heat part! Last week, we got to stop by the duck pond and feed the ducks. We also got a little off track when we found a dog and had to track down the owners who didn't seem too concerned- apparently the dog gets out all the time (nice). The kids had fun at a few parks and we all enjoyed the time out! They both loved the seesaw!

We got Daniel a Transformers Helmet courtesy of a birthday gift card from his Grandparents. He has been asking for it for awhile (and luckily it was on sale and we got a gift card for the purchase!!) and he was thrilled when he got it! We all had to try the helmet on which was fun. It has a "voice changer" and also has some phrases built in. It was fun to play with and to try and figure out what everyone was saying!

Last weekend, we attended a birthday party for Daniel's friend, Alex. It was a water slide party at their house and the kids had a blast! There is no telling how many times Daniel went down that slide! I was impressed that before it was over, he was going down head first on his stomach- he seemed to like that the best! Even Arianna got in on the action. After going down a few times, she was walking to the slide and trying to climb up on her own! She is definitely my little dare devil! Even though she isn't smiling in the pictures... she definitely enjoyed it and wanted to "go up" again and again! As it got later, the kids dwindled until it was just Alex and Daniel. I think those two would have kept going for hours if we had let them!

I have more pictures to post, but right now, I hear my running shoes calling me! So more to come... :-)
