Running and more running

Well we put some more miles under our belt this weekend with 4 miles Friday, 5.8 miles Saturday and 6.1 miles Sunday. We didn't quite make 6 miles Saturday as planned, but I had to cut Tony a little slack since he had to get back to the house to mow the yard...wasn't that nice of me? We like running through different neighborhoods, but we seem to get a little "lost" lately. It seems that there are a lot of dead ends around here and it's easy to get turned around. I'm starting to think we need to get this GPS. Maybe that's a good birthday present for Tony in October... oh wait...didn't he already get some fancy Playstation 3 this month?? Hmmm...
Well much to Daniel's delight, we hit 3 different parks today and he got to see the ducks.

9 Month Comparison

Occassionally, I see pictures of Arianna that make me think back to a similar one of Daniel. I love these pictures...they are both at about 9 months old. I love that you can see their 4 teeth. Daniel was a little shorter and heavier while Arianna is longer and a little lighter. But one thing in common (besides the fact that they look alike) is that they were/ are HAPPY babies! They make me smile every day!

Chef Daniel

Daniel is becoming quite the little Chef! He loves to help in the kitchen whenever he gets the chance. I recently bought him a personalized chef hat that he loves from Personalization Mall.
He says that now he can be "a little Chef like Remy" from the Disney movie Ratatouille! As long as he isn't hiding a rat under that hat, it's all good!

Park Hopping isn't just for Disney!

When Tony and I got married eons ago, we used to run on the weekends. Over the years, we got busy or lazy or maybe a little of both and stopped running. We recently started running again on the weekends and at least for now, we're enjoying it. We put the kids in the double jogging stroller and head out on various paths. When we choose a route, we try to find at least one park for Daniel to play at which gives us a nice break and it's fun for him! Tony has been working from home on Fridays, so we've added early Friday morning to the mix as well. We started out running 3 miles each time and then went up to 4 miles. This past weekend, we ran 4 miles on Friday, 6.2 miles on Saturday and 6.4 miles on Sunday. We are running through different neighborhoods which keeps it interesting...but we've also been known to get a little lost! Here's our water girl making sure we stay hydrated...
Each of the parks have been a little different so Daniel has fun! He has names for each park like the green park, blue park, park with the hello (a thing you can talk into and it echos).

Last weekend, it turned into a little bit of a nature run as we saw a frog (the biggest frog we've ever seen...and a graceful hopper he was not), 2 rabbits and 3 ducks!

Can't wait to see where this weekend takes us on our running journey!

It's All About the Teeth!!

Arianna got her two bottom teeth at the end of July.

Which was followed by her two top teeth in the middle of August. She seems to get her teeth in pairs!

Knock on wood...she is a lot like her big brother and has not been fussy or sick at all during teething (we know we are very blessed!). Daniel loves to see her teeth- but says that they are very sharp (maybe he shouldn't stick his finger in her mouth??). He is also very excited that she is sitting up on her own- he sees it as being one step closer to being able to play with him! He loves his baby sister very much and it is really fun watching them grow together!

Tumbling Time!

Daniel started taking classes at the Little Gym this week! He is in the "Giggle Friends" class for 4-5 year olds and there are only 4 kids in the class. He started out the class a little timid and cautious, but quickly joined in with the others. At the end of the class, they stamped their feet with stars that say "Great Job" which he thought was really cool! I'm anxious to see how he does in the next few months!
